Finding a health insurance program that meets everyone's needs is almost impossible. Finding a health insurance plan that provides good benefits with choices is very possible. Most plans require being in business for a year or more in Florida, but some do not. All plans require the company have filed taxes.

Businesses in Florida that have been in business for more than a year, have 4 or more enrolled fulltime employees, and have filed quarterly taxes including a UCT6 may be eligible for a combination of Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and BlueCare HMO (formerly Health Options). The plan allows employees to choose from different available options. Your business could have some employees on a PPO and some on an HMO. This choice is only available in counties where BlueCare is offered and limited to certain combinations of HMO and PPO. You could also have all of the employees or all of the employees on the PPO. The PPO plan is offered in all counties. If you want this quoted please complete a Census form and e-mail or fax it back to us.

United HealthCare is an excellent choice because it offers some of the best features of both HMOs and PPOs. No referral to a specialist are needed. You only pay a copay for services. The plan descriptions and counties that United Healthcare is available in found by going to Index and looking under United HealthCare.

Humana PPO is an excellent choice for businesses having employees in different locations, especially if some are out of state. Humana PPO has national network. This means you and/or your employees could be in network or see network doctors around the country. Humana plans have to be quoted so a Census form e-mailed or faxed to us is needed.
